Can the Stirling Broadcast LS3 / 5A V2 still be improved?

Doug Stirling has challenged the famous English speaker builder Derek Hughes to improve his design of the LS3 / 5A V2.

Derek had full confidence in the speaker units and the thin-walled multiplex cabinet and did not believe that they could currently be improved. So he concentrated with
his years of experience in speaker design on the crossover. Air coils matched closely with each other, so that saturation of the ferrite or iron cores could no longer occur. Costs played no role in this. Furthermore, Derek moved the crossover to prevent resonances from the baffle.

The result is the Stirling Broadcast LS3 / 5A V3, which has also received a real BBC license.
