Stax SR-L500 MK2 Earspeaker
OverviewThe STAX SR-L500 MK2 is the new midrange model in STAX's L-series and offers the same detachable cable and improved headband as its cousin the SR-L700 MK2. The SR-L500 MK2 uses a well-balanced driver, with the open, airy sound you expect from STAX headphones. The SR-L500MK2 comes with a parallel 6-core HiFC* wide low capacitance cable as an accessory. A very small amount of titanium has been added to these copper conductors, with superior transmission characteristics. The frame is made of aluminum. The change of material has allowed the design of the mechanism with more flexibility. In the SR-L500 MK2 models, changing the design of the Earspeaker from a conventional linear style to a slightly curved shape allows the ear cushions to fit more naturally on either side of the main body. In addition, the curved shape gives high rigidity and prevents unnecessary deformation or twisting when worn, resulting in a great improvement in the fit feeling.
