The Magnepan LRS+ is a 2-way Quasi Ribbon loudspeaker, just like the MG.7, but in a smaller and friendlier format.
The Magnepan LRS+ performs excellently with many amps, but is actually designed to play with high-end equipment.
Beware of a really high-quality set, you will hear what the Magnepan LRS+ is really capable of. That does not detract from the fact that you can still enjoy a lot of musical pleasure listening to the Magnepan LRS + on a receiver, for example.
The housing of the Magnepan LRS+ is sturdy and stable, and is finished with beautiful wooden strips on the side of the speaker. On the feet you may find brackets with which you can put the Magnepan LRS a little straighter if you sit a little closer to it. The Magnepan LRS itself leans back a bit, just like the MG.7.

The Magnepan LRS+ sounds surprisingly good for its price and size. Of course you cannot expect the bass of a traditional cone speaker here. Yet the layer is not lacking, and it is nice and tight and clean. But where the Magnepan LRS really excels are the naturalness of the voices and instruments. So pure and real. You can really see the singer in the room.
The Magnepan LRS+ give that real live feeling that all Magnepan loudspeakers can give, only in a compact size. Which makes the Magnepan LRS+ extremely suitable for smaller spaces. Come and listen and let yourself be convinced by the qualities of these musical little Maggies.
